Description
14 buns. Prep time: 30 min Total time: 90 min- 25 g yeast eller 1.5 tsp dry yeast
- 2.5 dl milk
- 50 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 500 g flour
- A bit of corn flour
Method
1. Heat milk and butter in the microwave or in a small saucepan.
2. Soak the yeast in the milk. If you use dry yeast, mix it with the flour and then add the wet ingredients.
3. Add eggs, salt, sugar and wheat flour. Knead it well together in a stand mixer.
4. Set the dough to rise for about 1 hour
5. Roll dough into a long sausage and cut into about 14 pieces.
6. Press the buns lightly flat and sprinkle with cornmeal on both sides of the bun
7. Allow the buns to rise for about 30 minutes.
8. Bake the buns on a pan on medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown on the dry pan.
9. When the buns are to be broken, a fork is used. Dot the fork all the way around the bowl and then twist it apart. That way, there are some small bumps that are especially good when you toast the bun. Half the bun, toast it on both sides and serve with butter.
