Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 340 g flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 227 g butter, softened
- 86 g white sugar
- 86 g packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 340 g chocolate chips (or candy bar pieces)
- 150 g chopped nuts (optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Do not over mix. Stir in chocolate and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 9 to 11 minutes.
Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
