Naan
- 25 g yeast
- 150 g lukewarm water
- 40 g olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 150 g milk or yogurt/sour-cream
- 400 g flour
- 40 g butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- Herbs (cilantro, parsley or chives)
Method
Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water.
Add oil, salt and milk or yogurt. Mix before adding the flour. Let it knead in the mixer for about 10 minutes or when it turns into a ball, letting go of the sides.
Let rise for an hour on the kitchen table.
Cut into 8 pieces. Roll them out and let rest for 10 minutes.
Melt the butter and add the minced garlic and herbs. Put aside.
Brush a bit of oil on each side and bake them on a frying pan or griddle, one by one. Cover with a cloth while you fry up the rest.
Once baked brush each naan with the garlic herb butter.
