Easy Ciabatta

  • Ingredients
  • 25 g yeast
  • 350 g water
  • 400 g flour 00
  • 35 g olive oil
  • 10 g sea salt

Method

    1. Dissolve the yeast in the water.
    2. Add all remaining ingredients and mix until fully combined. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
    3. With wet hands, gently stretch and fold the dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes, then repeat the stretch and fold 2–3 more times, resting 20 minutes between each.
    4. After the final fold, let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
    5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and lightly flour the top. Cut into your desired sizes.
    6. Place the pieces onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let them rest for 20 minutes.
    7. Preheat the oven to 230°C. Bake for 15 minutes with steam.
    (To create steam, place a bowl of hot water in the oven while it heats and leave it during baking. Refill with hot water if needed.)
